• What results can I expect from my Profhilo treatment.

  Profhilo works best by having an initial 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart. Single maintenance treatments are then recommended every 6-12 months later, to optimise results. The treatment itself consists of 5 injections on each side of the face and takes around 15 minutes. Profhilo can also be used on other areas such as the neck, décolleté and hands.
  Some clients have noticed intense hydration and a real radiance to their skin the day after treatment, however it is around the 8-12 week mark where you will see the biggest improvement. The skin will feel firmer, tighter, lifted and more youthful.

• Does Profhilo hurt?

  Many are often curious about whether Profhilo injections hurt. The injections sting briefly and some points are a little more painful than others. However, it’s only a temporary sensation and as soon as the injections are complete the pain subsides.

• Am I suitable for Profhilo?

  Your suitability for Profilo treatments can be age-dependent. Typically, Profhilo is performed on individuals over the age of 30.
  This is because, as we reach this age, our collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid starts to deplete leaving the skin looking potentially more saggy, lax, dull and aged.
  If you feel like the quality of your tissue and skin is decreasing you should consider this treatment option - as this is where Profhilo® fits in beautifully to naturally enhance the structures within your tissue and skin to give you more hydration and firmness.
  It can also be used as a preventative treatment. If your skin is already in good health and you have only just started to noticed the little signs of ageing, profhilo will help strengthen your own collagen and elastin to help maintain and improve the integrity of your skin for as long as possible.

• Recommended Profhilo aftercare

  Embarking on the journey to rejuvenated skin with Profhilo is an exciting venture, and understanding the recommended aftercare is crucial to ensure lasting and impeccable results. In the immediate aftermath, most individuals can seamlessly resume their daily activities, with potential indicators such as mild redness and pinprick marks. While bruising is a possibility, it's reassuring to know that this typically dissipates within a few days.
  The intricate nature of Profhilo involves small 'deposits' injected beneath the skin, initially visible but settling within hours. Although you may feel the product at the injection sites, rest assured it will naturally integrate without the need for massage. To preserve the integrity of the treatment, refrain from applying makeup for the initial 12 hours.
  In the first 48 hours post-treatment, exercise caution by avoiding alcohol and vigorous physical activities. Extend your care to shield your skin from environmental extremes, steering clear of sunbathing and abrupt changes in temperature for the next 14 days. Any potential bruising, while uncommon, may benefit from arnica, and it's advisable to abstain from aspirin and alcohol for the initial 12-48 hours.
  As your skin gracefully settles, any tenderness accompanying swelling or bruising will gradually diminish. However, vigilance is key, and if redness, tenderness, itching, or swelling intensifies after three days or exhibits unusual characteristics like blanching, mottled bruising/redness, or persistent pain beyond expected tenderness, contact us promptly.
