Circadia Advanced Professional Skincare

Circadia is an internationally recognised advanced professional skincare brand, who have designed their products to work in synergy with the skin and bodys’ own natural circadian rhythyms. Circadia’s core concept uses chronobiology, the science of defending skin from environmental damage during the day, and the stimulation of our internal repair mechanism, during sleep. Pure botanicals, stem cells, second generation vitamins and innovative peptide technology are carefully combined, to create potent formulations to achieve optimal skin health and beauty. These specialised products can be used at home as part of a daily skincare routine, in order to address a multitude of skin conditions, including ageing, acne, dehydration, sun damage, pigmentation and rosacea.

Skincare Routine

Morning Routine

Cleanse: Start the day by cleansing away a build up of excess oil, sweat, impurities and dead skin cells which have surfaced overnight.

Protect: Apply products containing targeted ingredients such as antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C to help protect your skin from environmental damage, hydrate tissue and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier.

Hydrate: Applying a moisturiser suited to your skin type will help to hydrate the skin and seal in any moisture, reducing transepidermal moisture loss within the skin. Our skincare specialists can advise you on the best options for you to ensure you get the best out of your day to day routine.

Protect: Sunscreen is essential every morning, during both Summer and Winter, whatever the weather. It helps prevent sunburn, reduces the risk of skin cancer, and slows down signs of ageing. Choose a broadspectrum SPF 30 or higher for maximum protection.

Evening Routine

Cleanse: Cleansing in the evening is beneficial for thoroughly removing makeup, sunscreen, and pollutants. For regular makeup users we would recommend an oil based cleanser to help dissolve product from the skin before performing a second cleanse using a cleanser suited to your skin type.

Advance: (Optional) If you use facial masks or peels, using them now as suggested by your skincare specialist will make for the best quality skincare regime.

Repair: During the evening your skin will be in repair mode. This makes it an ideal time to use more potent products containing active ingredients like retinol or peptides. These can work overnight to target and repair any skin concerns you may have, all while working to rejuvenate your skin.

Hydrate: Applying a moisturiser suited to your skin’s needs will help to lock in moisture while your skin rests. During this time, nutrient rich ingredients are absorbed, nourishing and repairing the tissue while you sleep.

Additional Tips

  • Retinol

Retinols can really transform skin and is not something you should be scared of incorporating. Start with a lower concentration of retinol (around 0.25%) and gradually increase use and concentration as your skin becomes more tolerant. This will minimise irritation and optimise results. Use of this hero product can include improved skin texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and enhanced collagen production.

  • Masks

Using a facial mask once a week can help target specific skin concerns. A skincare specialist can help to advise on the best options for you, whether that be to detoxify and deep clean pores, removing impurities and excess oils that can clog pores and lead to acne, blackheads, and other skin imperfections. Or to deeply moisturise the skin, soothing irritation and dryness while improving skin elasticity and collagen production. These products can add luxury and indulgence to even the simplest of homeware routines.

  • Eye Cream

Eye cream should be applied morning and night and depending on your concerns, a different one may be required for each time of the day. The skin in this area is much more delicate that the rest of the face. When applying these products gently pat it onto the orbital bone rather than pulling or rubbing the skin around your eyes, as this can cause irritation and reduce the benefits of the product.

FAQS

  • What is Circadia Advanced Professional Skincare?

Circadia is a professional skincare brand based on the skin and bodies natural circadian rhythms. Chronobiology, the science of defending the skin from environmental damage during the day and stimulating internal repair mechanisms during sleep is the core of their concept.

  • What makes it different from high street skincare?

If you’ve ever bought skincare products from a supermarket, pharmacy, or department store (who hasn’t?), you may be wondering why those products just aren’t making it happen when it comes to seeing the changes you want to in your skin. Medical grade skincare such as Circadia and Alumier MD are made with formulations that combine a much higher concentration of active ingredients to achieve optimal results in skin health. They are also required to contain the purest form of their medical ingredients – ingredients that are 99% pure. Products that are purchased at supermarkets and on the high street are not held to the same standards. The active ingredient in an over-the-counter product may not be enough to have an effect, or it may take much longer to get a result.
Our skin is made of layers and medical grade skin care products are formulated to be delivered deeper into the dermis than many over-the-counter brands. Over-the-counter brands may benefit the outermost layer of your skin, but chances are good that’s as far as it will get.
Medical grade skin care products also have clinical research studies to back up any claims about their benefits, so you can see exactly how and why the product benefits your skin. On the other hand, over the counter skin care products do not need to have clinical studies or research behind their claims.

  • Why do I need to have home care too if I am having regular facials?

While regular facials can provide deep cleansing, exfoliation, and nourishment to your skin, home care is an essential complement to maintain optimal skin health. Home care products and routines allow you to customise your skincare regimen to your specific skin type and concerns, addressing areas that may not be addressed during a facial. Additionally, home care enables you to maintain consistency and frequency in your skincare routine, which is crucial for long-term results.

  • Where can I purchase Circadia Products?

Circadia is a professional skincare brand that is typically sold through authorised distributors and clinics, rather than being widely available in high street retail stores. You can purchase your Circadia products by contacting us directly.
