Anti Wrinkle Injections

Botox is a fantastic non-surgical, pro-ageing treatment that is injected directly into targeted muscles to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Botox can disrupt signs of ageing by relaxing facial expression muscles, especially those on the forehead, the brow and around the eyes. Botox relaxes these muscles by temporarily blocking the nerve impulses that direct the muscles to contract so that the surface of the skin appears smoother.
At Rejuvenation Rooms, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care and treatment and use micro-droplet precision to achieve the most natural, youthful-looking results possible.

FAQS

  • What is Botox?

Botox, or botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. When used in small, controlled doses by a medical professional, it can be used to temporarily relax or paralyse muscles.

Botox works by blocking the release of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine, which is responsible for transmitting nerve impulses to muscles. When injected into a specific muscle, Botox prevents the muscle from contracting, which can help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles or treat certain medical conditions such as muscle spasms or excessive sweating.

  • What can you expect from this treatment?

Before performing the actual Botox treatment you will be invited for an initial consultation to see you face to face where we will discuss options and what you are hoping to achieve from the treatment. Once confirmed that this is the best treatment option for you, we will arrange another appointment where our Advanced Nurse Practitioner will then administer small injections of Botox into the chosen areas being treated.

  • Am I suitabe for treatment?

Botox injections can be used on a wide range of patients, and is primarily used for skin rejuvenation and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Those who have medical conditions that can affect safety, such as damaged nerves or muscle complaints, should disclose this information during consultation, to avoid any complications. Treatment is not advisable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Is it painful?

Our Botox treatments here at Rejuvenation Rooms are carried out using a super fine needle called 'The Invisible Needle' by TSK. This ensures a very comfortable experience. Some of our clients have said they can barely feel the injections and others liken it to a little hair being plucked out.

  • How long do results last?

You will start to notice your results within 2 weeks.
Following your 2 week review appointment, where any necessary adjustment doses are made to fine tune the results, longevity typically lasts anywhere between 3-6 months.

  • What can’t I do after a Botox treatment?

We advise you to AVOID the following things after your Botox treatment:
    Laying down for 2 hours
    Strenuous exercise for 48 hours.
Sun beds, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, very hot baths and showers and swimming for 48 hours.
Applying make-up to the area for the rest of the day following treatment.
Facials, brow treatments and facial massage for 2 weeks.
